Kingsland Road in Hackney is generally regarded as the only place to go for Vietnamese food in London, but there are a few gems popping up elsewhere. Here a few for you to look at:

Cay Tre - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/3831.htm

Mien Tay - http://www.london-eating.co.uk/34588.htm

South of the river in Deptford, Cafe East is a bit of a local secret and well worth a visit if you%26#039;re in the area:

For cheap, quick food; you could try Pho - there is one in Clerkenwell and one on Great Titchfield Street.

I tried the one in W1 and, while it is cheap, it%26#039;s not exactly authentic and I found the pho itself pretty bland. However, everyone else seems to love it so maybe that%26#039;s just me.

There are some expert foodies on the Chowhound UK forum, and you will certainly find some good recommendations on this Vietnamese food thread:

Enjoy! :)
