Chicken wings - cook them by baking, broiling, deep frying, or frying.

Sauce, just melt butter and flavor it with Frank%26#039;s Hot Sauce (it%26#039;s made by Durkee). Whip the hot sauce into the melted butter and dredge the wings in it.

Serve with celery, carrots, and blue cheese dressing.

Buffalo Wings

12 whole chicken wings
3 ounces unsalted butter
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Place a 6-quart saucepan with a steamer basket and 1-inch of water in the bottom, over high heat, cover and bring to a boil.
Remove the tips of the wings and discard or save for making stock. Using kitchen shears, or a knife, separate the wings at the joint. Place the wings into the steamer basket, cover, reduce the heat to medium and steam for 10 minutes. Remove the wings from the basket and carefully pat dry. Lay the wings out on a cooling rack set in a half sheet pan lined with paper towels and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Replace the paper towels with parchment paper. Roast on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and cook another 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through and the skin is golden brown.

While the chicken is roasting, melt the butter in a small bowl along with the garlic. Pour this along with hot sauce and salt into a bowl large enough to hold all of the chicken and stir to combine.

Remove the wings from the oven and transfer to the bowl and toss with the sauce. Serve warm.

Check out my recipe for Buffalo Wing slaw on Suite101.com. You can leave off the slaw part if you want and just do the spicy wings and the blue cheese dressing.

Shamelessly quoting my article: %26quot;They were invented in 1964 in Buffalo, New York, and Buffalonians were ecstatic to have something else to talk about besides whether the snow has melted yet.
While there is some dispute about the origin, most credit the Anchor Bar on Main Street of Buffalo, and in particular Teressa Bellissima, whose family owns the bar. It was an instant hit and became so popular that in 1977 the city declared July 29 ¡°Chicken Wing Day.¡±Today the Anchor Bar claims to serve more than 70,000 pounds of chicken per month. The Bellissimas will happily sell you their ¡°secret¡± sauce from the Anchor Bar¡¯s website.%26quot;

ok first you will need a medium sized buffalo with wings. preferably dead. First, cut off the wings and then de-feather. Do with the rest of the buffalo as you please. Second, marinade for two hours until tender. then cut into bite-size pieces and deep fry. Coat with a barbeque sauce and serve.

If you want to be more serious, you might want to buy some chicken wings, marinade with some barbeque sauce and then deep fry. Coat with the sauce all these other people are mentioning. tada :)

for a fast and simple recipe--find chx wings at a store.
the sauce-- get Frank Hot Sauce and mix 1/4 cup of melted butter and 1 cup of hot sauce. just deep fry the wings until they are done. toss with sauce mixture until coated. goes good with celery stix, blue cheese dressing, or ranch dressing.
